I have been working on ways to be really good at the sort of job that you can make a lot of money at, but it is not going to be very easy. Of course there is a lot of work to be done if you want to make a great impression in this sort of business. You have to think about all sorts of big things and little things, for example you want to know how to do a great powerpoint design so that when you make a presentation that is going to impress the people who make decisions. In fact that seems like it is going to be really disproportionately important if you want to advance. You are going to be doing your actual job most of the time and that is how you have to really make an impression. The work has to be up to grade or they will get rid of you, and you have to be willing to work as hard as is needed.
However you are going to get a chance to be up in front of the audience of the people who make decisions on your future. So when you make a presentation it is very obvious that you want to be good at it. That is going to be the one chance that you get to show people you are good at what you do and the impression is really going to be more important than it should be. We are going to be hopeful that we can be good at all of the stuff that we need to learn, but this is one of the things that I am going to focus on most of all. It is more of a big deal than it should be, but that is how it is.
