Biographies of Joseph Munsterman (1851-1922) and Elizabeth Heberhold (1860-1932)

Joseph MUNSTERMANN, son of Antonius MUNSTERMANN and Marie Gertrude SEIPEN, was born 10 October 1851 in German Twp., Vanderburgh Co., Indiana, and died there 15 December 1922. He was buried in the St. Phillips Catholic Church Cemetery at St. Phillips, Posey Co., Indiana.

 

Joseph married Elizabeth HERBERHOLD, daughter of _______ HERBERHOLD and ______ _______. 23 May 1878 at St. Phillips Church in Posey Co., Indiana. It appears that Elizabeth may have been orphaned and was reared in the Antonius Munstermann household. Elizabeth was born 25 August 1860 in _______ Co., Indiana, and died 30 September 1932 at St. Philips, Posey Co., Indiana. She is buried beside her husband in the church cemetery there.

Joseph and Elizabeth were farmers in German Twp., Vanderburgh Co., Indiana. The location of their farm was near the present location of Marx and Koressel Road on northwest side of Evansville, Vanderburgh Co., Indiana.

Joseph and Elizabeth had 4 children:

  3. George Anthony MUENSTERMAN, . 18 May 1887 in German Twp., Vanderburgh Co., IN; d. 14 Oct 1966 in Evansville, Vanderburgh Co., IN; m. 22 April 1914 in German Twp., Vanderburgh Co., IN, Mary Elizabeth Koressel, b. 28 Dec 1893 in German Twp., Vanderburgh Co., IN; d. 1 Jan 1958 in Marrs Twp., Posey Co., IN

  4. Theresa MUENSTERMAN, . __ Apr 1896 in German Twp., Vanderburgh Co., IN; d. __ ___ 1969 in Vanderburgh Co., IN
