I had a nice case for a rifle that included a shoulder strap, but it broke a couple weeks ago when I was out turkey hunting. I am not sure why the strap failed, but it broke and the whole case fell off of my shoulder, and into a puddle of mud. I didn’t bother trying to fix the strap, or to clean up the case. But instead, I just threw it in the trash when I got home. So now i am shopping around for a camo rifle cover that I can use to replace the one for the one that I threw away in the garbage.
I want to getm one with a cool camo pattern, not the classic one, but one of the more modern ones that has been adopted by the US army in recent years. I do not know what those new patterns are called, but I think that they look pretty cool. Anyway, I am going to start looking to see what I can find on the web, and hopefully I will find something that works well. Additionally, I also need to make sure that the new one that I buy is going to be the right size for my rifle. I am not sure what all sizes they come in, but I do know that not all rifles are the same size.
It’s too bad that turkey season is almost over, because as of yet, I have not managed to bag myself a turkey. Usually, I do not have much trouble with finding a turkey to shoot, so I do not know what is different this year, but it is kind of frustrating to say the least. Maybe I will go out again next weekend and maybe my luck will be different then.
